Where Are They Now?

Kenyal’s family entered our shelter program in September of 2017 and were the first family we ever served. This family graduated from our shelter program and moved into their own housing that November. Kenyal has worked hard over the past 5 years to ensure her three boys have stability. She volunteers with Family Promise of Davie County when needed, distributes hygiene supplies to an area men’s shelter, and drops off meals to those in need in her community.

This year, Kenyal applied for and was accepted to join Family Promise National’s Guest Advisory Council (GAC). The GAC is comprised of graduate guests of Affiliates across the country. The GAC is drawn upon for advocacy efforts, public relations, the development of initiatives, and the formation of policy for Affiliates.
